My Frog Writting

LIFE? CYCLE FOR A FROG

Have you ever wondered how a tadpole transformers into a frog.

Frog lay their eggs in water or wet places. A floating clump of eggs is called frog spawn.

The large and slippery mass of eggs are too big to be eaten.  This is nature's way of protecting them.  But, the smaller clumps of eggs will be eaten by the creatures living near or in the pond.

The egg begins as a single cell. Several thousand  are sometimes laid at once. It becomes surrounded by a jelly like covering, which protects the egg. The female may or may not stay with the eggs to take care of the young after she has laid them. The egg slowly develops. But, only a few develop into adults.  Ducks, fish, insects, and other water creatures eat the eggs.

AXOLOTL REPORT

AXOLOTL

Axolotl are walking mexican fish. They are amphibians who spend the whole lives in the water.

APPEARANCE

An axolotl is grey or white in colour with black eyes. The colour of an axolotl depends on its cells.
Axolotls can grow up to 30 cm length and weigh up to 60-227 grams. The Axolotl ages but remains in its larvae for its entire life.

Habitat
The axolotl is found in the high-altitude lakes near Mexico City, the axolotls is historically native to the lakes of Chalco and Xochimilco. Unfortunately, today only Lake Xochimilco is  there and along with the drying up of Lake Chalco, much of the Axolotls' habitat dried up with it.

DIET
The axolotl eats little fish and worms and insects including other salamanders. In the lab, axolotls are fed brine shrimp.

PrEDATORS
The most common animal predators of the axolotl are birds, including storks and herons. However, the introduction of large fish into the lakes and channels has meant the addition of this natural threat to his survival as well.

POPULATION

In the past two decades, the wild population of the axolotl has fallen sixtyfold. Today there are estimated to be between 700 and 1,200 axolotls in the wild.

BEHAVIOR
What is very interesting to experts is that the Axolotl is able to regenerate body parts. When they are attacked by predators they can release one of the appendages to escape. Before long that appendage will grow back. They can be boring to watch though as they often don’t move for several hours at a time. When they do move they are slow.

CLOSING STATEMENT
The status for the Axolotl at this point in time is Critically Endangered. They are in danger due to the high levels of pollution that have been increasing in the bodies of water where they live.

MY HOLIDAYS

MY HOLIDAY
On the holiday I went to my uncle's birthday he had a horse cake and a picture with him on a horse. All my nans were there and my papa’s .I was playing with my mates and we were playing man hunt .We jumped over the fence and the dogs started to chase us.We tried to chop the tree down with an axe but it never worked.

After the party well the grown ups were drinking we made wipes out of sticks and flax. Then we went whipping people and we started whipping the horses and I almost got bucked by the horse. Then we had a game of bull rush and I ran into the pole at Moerewa school.we started to ride the bikes through the school and we all crashed into the water fountain.

Later on I walked back to my nans and I tried to go to sleep but I  couldn't  cause the party music was loud as and everybody was laughing to.I had a big roast for dinner and then went to sleep after that.
